 Cross the border into North Korea and safely come back

By going on the Demilitarized Tour (DMZ) from Seoul, tourists can safely cross the border from South Korea into North Korea and come back. In a town that borders both South and North Korea called Panmunjum, you can enter the Joint Security Area building, half of which is on the South Korean side and half of which is on the North Korean side. By stepping into the North Korean side of the building, you will actually be standing in North Korea.

When you are on the DMZ grounds, you can also see North Korean soldiers a couple hundred feet from you. Staring into the eyes of North Korean soldiers from afar is an experience not to be missed and is a grim reminder of the continuing divide between North and South Korea.

Gyeongbok Palace

This is the former seat of power is known as Korean’s most famous palace.The Palace was named Gyeongbokgung Palace, the "Palace Greatly Blessed by Heaven." With Mount Bugaksan to its rear and Mount Namsan in the foreground, the site of Gyeongbokgung Palace was at the heart of Seoul and, indeed, deemed auspicious according to the traditional practice of geomancy.

 Myeongdong Shopping

Shopaholics will rejoice when they head to Myeongdong – it’s one of Seoul’s busiest and most shopper insane areas of town.

From the latest Korean cosmetics and fashion to the brightest neon colored sneakers, there’s all kinds of stores in this outdoor mall. Along with trendy expensive stuff, in the afternoon hours, street shopping stalls also set up shop. If shopping is not your thing, don’t worry, there’s a massive selection of restaurants, street food stalls, towering ice cream cones, and snacks everywhere you look.

As an area that swells to millions of shoppers and walkers daily, you’ll have a good time even if you just want to people watch! If you love to shop, spending time browsing through Myeongdong will be one of your favorite things to do in Seoull!

Hours: Many of the businesses are open from 11 am – 10 pm but things are most busy in the later afternoon and evening

3. Lotte Mart

One thing tourist like me like to do in foreign country is walking around shopping malls to see different stuffs that are attractive and on sale. I am a outdoor person but I prefer indoor supermarkets because some of the trendiest fashion clothing and hipster brands are located in Lotte mart. Lotte Mart is consider one of the biggest mall in South Korea

Lotte Mart in Seoul has to be one of the coolest grocery stores in the world. There is lots of food and lots of food samples. I was tempted to drop a ton of cash, but had to hold back to stick to my budget. Any kind of Korean food goods are available at Seoul’s Lotte Mart.

Lotte Mart also has one of the biggest indoor parks in the world! The park is called Lotte World, parents can drop their kids in theme park and enjoy some sweet time shopping while their kids are too distracted by the fun from the thrilling rides.

PHOENIX PARK

Korean is also one of the best skiing country, skiing is  Phoenix Park seems to be one of the most popular skiing resorts in South Korea as it has been chosen to be one of the venues for the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic Games. The quality of snow is very excellent and it reaches the international standards. The venue of the skiing park is huge therefore it’s able to hold huge capacity of tourist and local skiers.
