India is one of the world's most affordable and impressive destinations. From its vibrant colors, rich scents, and strong flavors, to the rich culture and believe, India truly has something for almost everyone and anyone. Travel costs in India are some of the lowest in the world. Budget travelers flock here because they can stretch their money in unexpected ways. Cheap hotels can cost as little as a few dollars in some places and filling meals can be purchased for equally as cheap. The best way to ensure you get a good deal is to negotiate hard, and rarely make reservations.

So the first place when traveling to India is to first visit one of the 7 wonders of the world, the famous Taj Mahal. The most iconic sight in India, this beautiful symbol of love is a must see for any trip to India. It's located in the city of Agra, which is reachable by train from Delhi. It's probably the most photographed and famous attraction in all of India.

It is best to get a driver here as they would help you get around from morning till night and you can negotiate a good rate with a tuk-tuk driver to get us the the Taj Mahal, but there are pre-paid taxis as well just the train station. Drivers would cost about 400INR a day which is rather cheap. The ticket for the Taj Mahal is 750INR, which is probably the most you will spend for a ticket in this country.

Once you enter The Great Gate (Darwaza-i rauza) that leads to the gardens surrounding the Taj Mahal.

You will be impressed by the hand made of red sandstone with intricate marble work, imposing archways, and domed Chhatris on the top corners. After passing the gates you’ll see a beautiful garden then is when you’ll see the great Taj Mahal. It is a breathtaking sight. Once you get close and into the Taj Mahal you’ll never forget this place and know why it’s in the 7 wonders of the world.

The next place to visit is Karela, it is a state south of India and would take at least a 7 hours train ride, so you need to stay overnight in a hotel. Hotels here start around 250INR a night and can be negotiated if it is not a 4 Star hotel and above.Kerala is a beautiful land that is great for wildlife and health based holidays. It's a spiritual area and not to be missed on any trip into this region of India.

Kerala has beautiful rivers, forest and fields. The people here are very friendly too.

Kerala is also best known for their food. They have Chungdi Jhola which is a prawn curry dish that is heavily spiced and rich in flavor. Popular around this part of India. This prawn curry would cost you around 50INR depending on the restaurant you go to.

Besides that, the Tandoori Chicken is a must try here, It is bright in color mainly because of the turmeric and cayenne pepper and is slow cooked in a tandoori oven. It is typically prepared spicy.

The final place to visit is the Varanasi. It is a famous known place for having spiritual powers. Situated on the banks of the Ganges River, this strongly religious city offers you a little insight into the festivals of the Hindu religion. It's one of the most religious cities in the country and is rich with colors, flavors, and sounds. Overall India is a great place to visit if you enjoy learning and experiencing different cultures and believes.
