Pulau Pangkor 2D1N trip
Lumut
which is the port you’ll need to get to be able to get on board a ferry to and
from Pulau Pangkor. It took us three hours’ drive from Kuala Lumpur city
centre. By driving to Lumut jetty, we were wandering around looking for car
park where I spotted few parking places avaible. There is multi-storey covered
car park but we parked our cars at the open car park which cost RM10 per day.
From Lumut
jetty, there are ferries that taking passengers across to Pulau Pangkor and
leaves every half an hour. The ticket cost RM10 for each. It only took 20-25
minutes to reach the island.
Upon
arrived, we were greeted by a lot of people at the jetty, mainly offering us
some transportation option. Taxi, ‘pink minivan’, private car, motorbike or
tour package are available upon your arrival.
We decide
to take the ‘pink minivan’ to our homestay because it was much cheaper.
After 5-10 minutes, we arrived our homestay. We stayed in ‘Monster’ homestay, it was airy, clean and comfortable.
It took
around 5 minutes of walking distance to the Pasir Bogak beach, grocery shops
and hawker food & seafood restaurants.

After
settled down, we went to the Pasir Bogak beach. There are a lot of water sports
that we can play in Pulau Pangkor.
They also
offered a package of RM50 for each person which included Banana boat, Mable and
Poparazzi.
It’s
dinner time! We had our dinner at Resturant Pasir Bogak which is very famous in
Pulau Pangkor. We ordered one big plate of fried rice, hot plate egg tofu with
seafood and vegetables, fried squids, steamed white snapper Teochew style, stir
fried la la in spring onion and ginger.
Hot plate egg tofu with seafood and vegetables |
The hot
plate egg tofu was delicious, loaded with a variety of meat and seafood, and
the egg white-infused sauce tasted good with the combination of rice.
Fried squids The fried squids were so crispy and tasty, dipped in mayonnaise tasted nice too! It was one of my favourite dishes in this restaurant! |
Stir fried la la in spring onion and ginger |
The stir
la la were very fresh, completely free of unpleasant shellfish smell, and the
sauce complemented the dish pretty well.
